Here's what you can expect the first time we meet:

• We will chat and get to know one another. What do you like to do besides music? Why are you interested in learning violin?

• I will give you a rundown on how things work in the studio, and you can ask me all your questions.

• If you have played violin before, I would like to hear you play something you've been working on recently. It doesn't have to be finished and polished. In-the-works is great too. This will help me get a feel for what you already know. I will give you some tips, and we will work on a couple things as we would in a regular lesson, depending on how much time is left.

• If you haven't played before, don't worry, I won't make you play for me! You can take a look at my violins and we can play some games to start getting acquainted with the instrument. Schedule permitting, you might be able to observe another student's lesson to get a feel for my teaching style.
