ABOUT THE STUDIO
The violin studio is located in north Spring in Harris County, Texas and serves violin students in Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, North Houston, north Harris County, and the surrounding areas.
The general area is off of Rayford Road and the 99 in Spring, Texas.
I also offer online lessons, and teach students located anywhere in the world!
Music helps people of all ages to improve academic performance, and to learn discipline, self-esteem, and teamwork. I strive to make learning a fun and exciting experience. In the studio, we reach new heights of character and musicianship on our quest for musical excellence.
I offer private one-to-one violin lessons to all ages and skill levels. Private lessons generally take place weekly, or can take place twice per week if you prefer.
I pull from the Suzuki Violin School repertoire, and also branch out and use other repertoire to meet the needs and goals of the individual student. I use additional scale and etude books, which vary depending on the level of the student.
I teach all ages and skill levels, and especially love working with intermediate and advanced students.
Sharing music with others brings so much joy, and seasonal recitals give students the opportunity to share what they have accomplished and to gain important performance experience.
I usually offer group classes once a month, divided up by student skill level. Since I'm new to the area, I plan to offer group classes again once the studio has enough students enrolled to support this. I'm excited for this because group classes are a great way for students to socialize and learn through fun, new activities which cannot be done in private lessons. We explore composition, music theory, music history, and composers. Students also have a chance to practice performing for one another in a low-key and friendly environment. When group classes are offered, they will be the last week of the month en lieu of regular private lesson at a time convenient for everyone in the class.
It is important to me for students to feel they are free to explore and be creative. I strive to help them feel safe, confident, and comfortable so they can learn and grow.
An advantage to private lessons is that students receive individual attention. The teaching approach and pieces chosen can be tailored to fit the needs and interests of the student.
The investment for your student's music education depends on the length of lesson, which is determined by skill level.
Beginners start with weekly 30-minute lessons, Intermediate students have 45-minute lessons, and Advanced lessons are 60 minutes.
Below is the current pricing info, subject to change.
30-minute lesson: $35 each
45-minute lesson: $45 each
60-minute lesson: $55 each
