Let's Meet!
Before you begin violin lessons, let's meet and make sure it's a good fit. I offer a free trial lesson, which I like to call a "get-to-know-you interview" because we will chat and get to know each other, and you can ask me all your questions.
MEET THE TEACHER
Here's what you can expect the first time we meet:
We will chat and get to know one another. What do you like to do besides music? Why are you interested in learning violin?
I will give you a rundown on how things work in the studio, and you can ask me all your questions.
If you have played violin before, I would like to hear you play something you've been working on recently. It doesn't have to be finished and polished. In-the-works is great too. This will help me get a feel for what you already know. I will give you some tips, and we will work on a couple things as we would in a regular lesson, depending on how much time is left.
If you haven't played before, don't worry, I won't make you play for me! You can take a look at my violins and we can play some games to start getting acquainted with the instrument. Schedule permitting, you might be able to observe another student's lesson to get a feel for my teaching style.
